Product Introduction:
Sampling or biopsy is an operation used to diagnose the nature or origin of lesions. This is done using a biopsy needle and is considered a non-invasive procedure. This device is a widely used and is used to diagnose diseases such as cancer. In this method, anesthesia or hospitalization of the patient is not required and sampling is done on an outpatient basis with local anesthesia.
Sampling with a biopsy needle can be done for different body organs such as liver, lung, bone, prostate, breast, kidney, pancreas, etc.
Local sampling is done based on the doctor’s diagnosis and very thin needles are used for this purpose. Also, an imaging device such as an ultrasound probe is used to place wires around the abnormal area.
Both types of Biopsy needle are disposable devices that are used for taking samples from hard and soft organs. Generally, these needles do not differ much and they are user friendly for doctors.
This needle is available in two types of automatic and semi-automatic. Soft organ needles are automatic biopsy needles, semi-automatic needles and gun needles.
Hard organ needles include Jamshidi needle, aspiration needle, blind osteal needle or Mohreh. Doctors use different methods to diagnose the disease, sampling is one of those methods.
Biopsy always helps to diagnose the type of disease and its progress. The biopsy needle can be used in offices, clinics, imaging centers and operating rooms
As the diameter of the needle increases, the sensitivity and risk of the desired tissue decreases and vice versa. In fact, high diameter needles are never used for sampling sensitive tissues such as lungs and the coaxial is use for the more sensitive tissue. In general, the size of biopsy needles is classified by diameter (gauge) and length. The gauge of biopsy needles includes 4 numbers 14-16-18-20 and their length is also in 4 sizes 10-15-20-25. In some cases, manufacturer use other lengths also.
