Adult cannulas provide oxygen at a rate of 1.5 liters per minute, offering effective respiratory assistance to older patients. Meanwhile, infant-specific cannulas are designed to deliver up to 1 liter per minute.

High-flow nasal cannulas can supply oxygen at rates of up to 60 liters per minute, making them suitable for situations requiring higher oxygen flow rates. These features make the nasal oxygen tube an essential and indispensable tool in patient care.
